I'm kind of disappointed the non-binary character doesn't have a preference for pronouns but I get it. Thanks for including us anyway. It's rare, but always welcome.

@TriassicParker: Hi :) Penn is Agender. But, he did answer that he is accustomed to the pronoun "he" - but "use whatever" is just permission that he won't take it as an insult if someone slips up - because for Penn pronouns don't define his identity.

I'm completely aware that for other NB individuals, that might not be the case, but this is just Penn as an individual.

I'm also agender. I get it, would just be nice to see NB characters actually get treated like how most NB people want to be treated.

@TriassicParker: I get your point. I am agender as well, and I based Penn's identity on my own experience. This also includes his stance on pronouns and how they dont tie into his self worth (at least at this point in his life!) I wanna do a spin-off of Penn's story so that readers can see his growth and how he came to be comfortable in his own skin - but that is off in the future now unfortunately.

For now, I just wanted to represent a NB person as confident and probably the most 'put together' individual in a story for once.

I hope that if you're looking for a different type of representation of NB people, you find it in the future. I also hope that you can continue to enjoy Jamie for what it is.
